Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

The Algarve International Circuit is a motor racing track located in Portimão, 10 minutes drive from the villa. It has been used for a number of major events, including Formula One, but has also hosted events for the World Superbike championship, A1 Grand Prix and the FIA GT Championship among others.

After many years absence, Formula One returned to Portugal in 2020 with Lewis Hamilton winning his 92nd Grand Prix, and therefore equalling the record of Michael Schumacher. The race returned in 2021 with Hamilton winning again, beating Max Verstappen.

In addition to the track there are 2 go karting tracks that allow tourists to hire a kart, you can also organize a special event and have a race amongst your friends that is managed and organised by the team at Autódromo. The prices for hiring a go kart are not as expensive as it sounds, approximately €30 for one hour
